U.S. Employer Benefits Playbook: Gearing Up for the Decision-Makers of the Future

Employers are striving to continue providing a compelling set of offerings for their employees, finds a new Aite Group report.

Boston, July 23, 2019  — Unemployment is low, and it is an employees’ market when it comes to selecting employers. Employer benefit decision-makers are reviewing and revising the benefits they offer to their employees, but they are encountering challenges finding the right partners, cost, features, functionality, and enrollment models that fit their needs. Aite Group’s latest report, U.S. Employer Benefits Playbook: Gearing Up for the Decision-Makers of the Future, explores the nuances in the employer benefit decision-making process.

“Employee benefits are a key feature in attracting and retaining talent for employers,” explains Inci Kaya, analyst at Aite Group. “Employer benefit decision-makers are taking a close look at the set of benefits they offer to remain competitive in the employer market considering the current period of low unemployment,” she adds.

This new study provides essential insights for employer benefit vendors; health, life, property, and casualty insurance carriers; and other stakeholders seeking to gain/expand a foothold in the mind of employer benefit decision-makers. In Q2 2019, Aite Group conducted a quantitative survey of 303 HR professionals and employer benefit decision-makers across a range of employer sizes.
